See what was already there

Five steps, one real piece of experience.

The work between an old CV and an application an employer can act on.

One job, read properly

We read the posting and the company, and we work out what this role is actually asking for.

Customer Success Manager

Northline Software · fictional employer

Own the customer from signed agreement to a confident start, with support and product alongside you.

What the role asks for

  • Help colleagues adopt a consistent onboarding process
  • Coordinate onboarding across support and product
  • Work with product on recurring customer problems
  • Support renewals with the commercial team

People management experience an advantage

The line that was hiding something

Alex's CV said six words about onboarding. We asked one question, and a piece of directly relevant experience came out.

On the CV

Responsible for customer onboarding.

Positioned asks

What did you personally change, and who used it?

Alex answers

I created a shared handover checklist with support and product, then trained three colleagues to use it.

Four pieces of experience came out of that conversation, and only one of them was on the CV.

What to bring forward, and what to leave alone

Now the requirements can be matched to real experience — and where the record is silent, it stays silent.

And what we do not claim

  • People management experience an advantage — No formal line management. Training three colleagues is not the same thing, and the application does not call it that.
  • Support renewals with the commercial team — No renewal or revenue ownership on record, so the application asks about renewals instead of claiming them.

Written around that connection

Every marked phrase answers something the posting asked for. Open one to see where it came from.

Application · Customer Success Manager

Dear Ms Lindberg,

I like the part of the job where a signed agreement turns into a customer who is actually up and running. At Vantage Data I ran onboarding for business customers with support and product in every handover, and when handovers kept slipping I wrote a shared checklist and trained three colleagues to use it. When one onboarding stalled after the customer's contact changed, I rebuilt the plan with them and got them live. That is the work I would bring to the Customer Success Manager role at Northline Software.

From Alex's profile

Onboarding across two teams — Ran onboarding for business customers with support and product involved in every handover.

In the CV, in one line: “Responsible for customer onboarding.”

From Alex's profile

A process three colleagues use — Wrote a shared handover checklist with support and product, then trained three colleagues to use it.

Came out of the questions. It was not on the last CV.

From Alex's profile

A stalled onboarding restarted — Took over an onboarding that had stopped after the customer's contact changed, rebuilt the plan with them and got them live.

From an old application Alex had already written.

Three documents that tell the same story

The letter, the CV and the cover email are prepared together for this one job.

  • Application letter One page, five paragraphs, the evidence in the middle.
  • Tailored CV Profile, strengths, the full career overview and the role detail — page one carries the story.
  • Cover email Short, addressed to a person, no repetition of the letter.

The experience was Alex's. We did the work of bringing it forward.

What the heavy lifting actually is

We do more than write the first draft.

A relevant application starts before the writing: understanding what you have done, what the employer is looking for, and which details connect the two.

  1. We bring your experience together

Your old CVs, applications and notes become one detailed profile — roles, projects, responsibilities and the examples behind them.

Why this positions you The next opportunity can draw on your whole history, not just the last version of your CV.

Where Alex's four details came from

    • A process three colleagues useCame out of the questions. It was not on the last CV.
    • Onboarding across two teamsIn the CV, in one line: “Responsible for customer onboarding.”
    • A stalled onboarding restartedFrom an old application Alex had already written.
    • A standing product conversationCame out of the questions.

Illustrative example. Fictional person, employer and vacancy.

  2. We ask the questions that matter

What changed? What was your part? Who else was involved? An interview goes through the claims that need support and the gaps the documents left.

Why this positions you A broad claim becomes an example an employer can picture.

    One question, one usable example

    On the CV

    Responsible for customer onboarding.

    We ask

What did you personally change, and who used it?

    Alex answers

I created a shared handover checklist with support and product, then trained three colleagues to use it.

  3. We work out what matters for this job

For each opportunity we read the role and the company, compare them with your experience, and show where you are strong and where more context would help.

Why this positions you Your application can lead with the evidence that counts here instead of giving every past duty equal weight.

The fit assessment for this job

Well matched, with one requirement to clarify

Three of the four requirements are covered by experience we can point at. The fourth is not in the record.

    • Covered Help colleagues adopt a process Trained three colleagues on the checklist.
    • Covered Coordinate across support and product Every handover ran through both teams.
    • Covered Work with product on recurring problems Monthly review of the recurring setup list.
    • Not in the record Support renewals Nothing confirms renewal ownership.

An assessment of the information available, not a prediction of what an employer will do.

  4. We prepare the application around that connection

Application letter, CV and cover email, selected and organised for the opportunity, with the supporting examples in place.

Why this positions you The employer gets a clear account of what you can offer for this role.

  5. We write it in your voice

Your writing samples, your stated preferences and your feedback guide the language, style and tone of every draft.

Why this positions you You start from a draft you recognise, and finish it yourself.

Also part of the work: finding the opportunities

Set your preferences and we suggest positions worth a look, or paste in a job you found yourself — it goes through the same reading, fit assessment and preparation. You can point us at the job sites you want watched alongside our own search.

Your voice

You should recognise yourself in the writing.

Give us a few lines you wrote yourself. We read how you write — sentence length, how formal you are, whether you lead with the point — and every draft follows it. Tell us what sounds wrong and it changes; the facts never do.

The sample Alex gave us
I like the moment when a customer stops asking us how something works and just gets on with it. Most of my job is making that happen sooner.
What we read from it
  • Short sentences
  • First person, plain verbs
  • Concrete over abstract
  • No corporate opener
The draft for this job

I like the part of the job where a signed agreement turns into a customer who is actually up and running. When handovers kept slipping, I wrote a shared checklist and trained three colleagues to use it.

I am motivated by the successful transition of new clients from contract signature to operational readiness. In response to inconsistencies in the handover process, I developed a shared checklist and delivered training to three colleagues.

Illustrative example. The facts are identical in both drafts: the checklist, the two teams and the three colleagues. The highlighted wording is what moved.

What you receive

Choose the document style

Five styles ship today, each one applied to both the CV and the letter so they read as a set. Every plan includes the core styles; Medium and Large add more.

ExecutiveSection labels in a left gutter, photo beside the heading.
ClassicCentred name, one column, no photo. Conservative and Nordic.
SidebarTinted column with contact and skills, roles beside it.

What it takes from you

Three steps, and the second one is the work.

  1. Hand over what you already have

Old CVs, applications, a LinkedIn export. We read them and build the first version of your profile.

  2. Sit down for the interview

One structured conversation covers the gaps, the overlaps and the claims that need an example. This is the part that needs you.

  3. Pick an opportunity

Add a job you found or take one we suggest, read the fit, and download the letter, CV and cover email in Word.

Build the profile once; every opportunity after that starts from it.

Your experience stays yours

You decide what it says, and where it goes.

You decide

  • What accurately represents your experience.
  • Which jobs are worth your time.
  • Whether new context belongs in your profile or just one application.
  • What goes into the final documents, and when you send them.

We do

  • Bringing your career information together.
  • Asking the questions and naming what is missing.
  • Finding and assessing opportunities.
  • Drafting the documents around your experience and your voice.

Your material

  • The documents you upload and the profile built from them stay in your account. We do not send them to employers — you download your documents and apply yourself.
  • Preparing a profile, assessing a job and drafting a document each send the relevant text to the AI provider configured for that step. Nothing is submitted anywhere else.
  • You can delete an uploaded document at any time, and edit or rewrite any part of your profile.

Planned A one-click profile export is planned, not built yet. Today your documents download as Word files and your profile stays editable in the app.

Full privacy and terms pages are being prepared and will be linked here before Positioned opens to everyone.

Plans

Same foundation on every plan.

Every plan starts the same way: a detailed profile, the interview behind it, and applications built around your experience. Choose how many opportunities you want prepared each week.

Positioned is invite-only while we scale up. Choosing a plan here records it as a preference and asks for your email — no account, no payment, and we confirm the terms with your invitation.

Small

€29 /month

For a few carefully chosen opportunities each week.

  • 2 application packages per week
  • Core document styles
  • 2-month initial minimum
Request access

Minimum total €58 over 2 months, then €29/month.

Medium

€39 /month

For a steady search with more room to apply.

  • 4 application packages per week
  • More styles than Small
  • 2-month initial minimum
Request access

Minimum total €78 over 2 months, then €39/month.

Large

€49 /month

For a broader search and more applications each week.

  • 8 application packages per week
  • The full set of styles
  • 2-month initial minimum
Request access

Minimum total €98 over 2 months, then €49/month.

On every plan

  • A detailed profile built from your own documents.
  • The interview that fills in what the documents left out.
  • Job preferences, discovery and a fit assessment per opportunity.
  • Extra context for one job, or kept in your profile.
  • Application letter, CV and cover email for each opportunity.
  • Word downloads in the document style you choose.

One application package is the letter, the CV and the cover email for one job. Individual plans have a two-month minimum and renew monthly after that. You can cancel renewal at any time. Cancellation does not shorten the initial two-month term. The plans differ in how many opportunities you prepare for and how many document styles you can pick from — never in how carefully an application is written.

Questions people ask.

Will Positioned get me a job?

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. We do the work of bringing your relevant experience forward and preparing documents an employer can read quickly. What happens next is between you and them.

How much work is mine?

Handing over your old documents takes minutes. The interview takes real attention — that is where the useful details come from. After that, each application is a review and your final edit.

What if my old CV is thin or out of date?

That is the normal case. The documents are only a starting point; the questions are what fill in the projects, the contributions and the examples that were never written down.

Does Positioned use AI?

Yes, for organising your information, asking follow-up questions, assessing an opportunity and drafting. It works only from what you have given us: it does not invent experience, and every draft is yours to change.

Can I bring a job I found myself?

Yes. Paste it in and it goes through the same reading, fit assessment and document preparation as anything we find.

What if the fit assessment misses something I've done?

Add it. You choose whether it belongs in your profile from now on or only in this one application.

What exactly do I get for a job?

An application letter, a CV tailored to that posting and a cover email. The letter and CV download as Word files in the document style you pick.

Which language will my application be in?

The language of the posting. Your writing style and tone come from your own samples in that language.

Can I start today?

Not yet unless you have an invitation code. Access is invite-only while we scale up: leave your email and we will come back to you when a place opens. We won't promise a date we don't have.

Which plan should I choose?

Small covers two applications a week at €29/month, Medium four at €39, Large eight at €49. The difference is how many opportunities you prepare for and how many document styles you can choose from — never how carefully the application is written.

I help other people with their applications. Is that possible?

Yes — Positioned Pro is for career coaches and advisers who prepare applications with the people they support. The terms are not final, so ask us and we will send them as soon as they are.

Bring your experience. We'll do the rest of the work.

Hand over what you already have, answer the questions that uncover the details, and get an application built around them — in your own voice, ready for your final touch.
